Established operator of bioenergy plants:AcrEnergy, a spin-out from agri-capital, has successfully seen development through to financial close to build and commission Biogas Meden, to become one of the best operating plants in the UK. I was one of the key negotiators to achieve one of the highest valuations to exit the investment on behalf of the shareholders.As CEO I have leveraged my network of landowners, feedstock suppliers and technology partners and then negotiated and signed contracts with all of the stakeholders involved in the plant including land owners, technology providers, feedstock suppliers (from single farmers to large co-operations) and energy customers (for gas, power and private wire).As the MD of Operations I have been responsible for appointing and managing a team of up to thirty staff to operate the plant. Duties also include budget control and managing the on-going business accounts (salaries and purchasing).Throughout my tenure as CEO I have been leading debates and presented new energy concepts to local governments and committees, as well as advising them on the renewable strategy.

Juwi called me in to develop a business model including defining market drivers, undertake full commercial and technical due diligence for three wood pellet production facilities as well as power & heat generation. The feedstock has been secured with the largest European forestry and wood processing company in Scandinavia and the long-term power off-take has been purchased by the local municipalities in Germany.

I built a 45MW project pipeline over the year at ac entirely based on my regional network in the UK and Italy. The sope included securing site options, full feedstock strategy, the entire plant design concept as well as the grid connection. I was responsible for the respective plants' full market and commercial due diligence.

During my three years tenure at CT we invested in the UK's new technology firms covering pretty much all renewable energy sectors including supply, battery, infrastructure, buildings and energy efficiency. Portfolio management: On the board of the new companies I developed fundamentally new strategies, recruited new management and co-managed the establishment of new companies. At CT I established a deep network of engineers, suppliers and entrepreneurs in the UK. The mutual trust and referral has been lasting until today.
