About Daniel Schier

My goals are: to create properties in the realm of animation; continue to be challenged; and to grow my artistic and professional skills. My love for animation stemmed from great story telling and character animation of my youth. My ambition was to become a traditional animator at Disney Feature and I landed my first animation job there working on three features, then one at Dreamworks. However, that direction shifted as 2D animation began phasing out. I shifted toward character design work and spent 8yrs on "Go Diego Go!" and "Dora the Explorer". Following that, I moved into storyboarding on "Wallykazam!" for 2 1/2yrs. I spent 3yrs as Character Design Lead on WB's "Dorothy and the Wizard of OZ", and an upcoming Scooby feature. Most recently, I’ve worked as a Character Designer for Titmouse’s “Bless The Harts”, Character Designer on Warner Brothers & Amblin Entertainment's "Animaniacs", Character & Prop Designer for Disney’s, “Minnie’s Bow Toons” series; and have been developing a show with the good people at Raft Animation along with other freelance character work.
