In 1996 during the advent of sports talk radio Dante became an avid listener to shows like "The Fabulous sports babe", "The Jim Rome Show","The Mike North Show" and "JT the Brick'. With an upstart sports talk radio station where he resided in the denver metro area and teams like The Colorado Avalanche, Rockies and Denver Broncos and Nuggets getting national attention on network televison he began to call into what was then AM950 the fan in Denver Colorado. He quickly began to feel a passion about calling into radio shows and would often sway the conversation of programs with his opinions and comedic style of calling often giving names to athletes and or public figures who were in the spotlight for a variety of reasons. Then on a snowy morning in 2003 Dante known as "Dan in Denver" called into FM104.3 The Fan to discuss the performance the night before of the playoff bound Denver Broncos and Dantes Beloved Oakland Raiders with long time sports talk pioneer Thierry Smith and his Writer partner from the Denver Post Sam Adams. After he Had made his point and hung up the phone Mr. Smith called Dante "Raider" Dan in Denver. The name stuck to him like glue, And from that moment forward he was known by this name both locally and nationally as well. He made friends with local hosts at remotes and that translated into relationships with many former and current athletes. Then with the advent of social media Dante took to the keyboard and quickly found a following locally in his home state of Colorado and Around the world as well. Posts on Facebook turned into posts on Twitter, Instagram, and Vine. Then on Dec 13, 2013 Dante met JT the brick at a signing for his book "The Handoff" JT told Dan that he was exctly what he was talking about in his book and that if he could take his Social media savy and put the elements of radio and television with it he would be a titan in the industry. 48 hours later Dante enrolled at the Ohio centers for Broadcastings Colorado Media School.
