SCHOCH, P.E.2007 CHARLES F. KETTERING AWARD Daniel A. Schoch is Registered Professional Engineer, and a lifelong resident of Ohio. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of The Ohio State University. Dan’s professional career with Minster spans 40 years and includes design, development, research and advanced technologies expertise, with a world leading manufacturer of high speed mechanical metal-forming presses, and continues with challenging and leading edge engineering research management, technologies development, and strategic innovation, as well as continuing future workforce development efforts. In addition to directing over 1000 developmental research programs, and achieving 29 U.S. patents along the way, Dan has lead Minster’s technical workforce development for over 35 years, and has personally hired and mentored well over 200 engineering students, providing over 400,000+ hours of industry experience for them, of which 95% have graduated with engineering degrees, 95% remain in Ohio, and 95% remain within the manufacturing career field. Dan’s efforts include working with 20+ universities and 45 area high schools to identify top talent for technical career opportunities. Charles F. Kettering was a trustee and benefactor of Antioch College and Research Director of the General Motors Corporation, as well as Chairman of the Thomas Alva Edison Foundation.
