Porject lead of Imaging Mass Cytometry for the IMI2/IMMUcan project. We perform large scale tumor immune-profiling of solid cancers with the aim to characterize the tumor microenvironment with respect to immune checkpoint treatment.We also develope experimental protocols to enable the multiplexed detection of RNA and protein targets in FFPE tissues as well.

molecular systems biology of eukaryotic gene regulation.I use different low- and high throughput techniques to study global gene regulation and coordination upon perturbation and/or mutation. In collaboration with bioinformaticians we are integrating these different kind of data, thereby creating new hypothesis which can then in turn be tested.
