Construction has been Dan’s life. The son of founder Peter Schwabe, Dan joined Peter Schwabe, Inc. as a teenager and has dedicated more than 60 years to Peter Schwabe, Inc. (PSI) and its clients. Dan’s deep appreciation for customer service and “making friends” is the foundation of PSI’s growth and longevity. He was the visionary behind PSI’s multiple affiliates over the years, including PSI Design, PSI Carpentry, Badger Construction, California Construction, Pennsylvania Construction, Creative Leather, Woodmill Products, and more. The impetus of all of these new divisions and locations was client requests and feedback.Dan’s intense knowledge of and respect for the industry were developed through the multiple roles he has played at PSI. From carpentry apprentice to project manager to president and CEO, Dan’s vast experience gives him a unique understanding of what it takes to run a successful construction project…and business. As current Chairman of the Board, Dan works closely in an advisory role with his son, Peter, who became President & CEO in 2022.
