The project was done in coorperation with TREFOR (now EWII) the DSO (Distribution System Operator) of the "Triangle area" in Denmark. The goal of the project was to investigate the effects on the reactive power production of a future transition to a cable based 60 kV grid in the area owned and operated by TREFOR.A model of the grid was built in DIgSILENT PowerFactory and various scenarios were simulated. Based on the simulations a recommendation was made to TREFOR on how they could deal with the excessive reactive power production from the future cable network. The recommendation was well received in TREFOR and resulted in a top grade from the university. Grade: A(12 in the 7-step scale)
