Provided and supported Hyperion Essbase management information systems for the $2B Consumer Healthcare business. Managed sales and earnings information/reporting by division, by product brand, by Customer, and by Cost Center to marketing, sales and financial executives.Designed, developed and administered a Brand P&L reporting system in multidimensional on-line analytical processing (OLAP) database containing product and P&L data for 40 Brands, 2000 skus, and 300 cost centers. Provided monthly hard copy reporting, spreadsheet access and drill down capabilities and web browser access to report execution and viewing. Includes multiple levels of expense allocations to Brands.Teamed with the Sales staff to establish and support a Customer P&L reporting system containing product, trade funds and P&L data for 350 customers, 40 Brands, and 2000 skus. Enabled the same capabilities as the above Brand system to the regional sales and home offices. Data is loaded monthly from the order entry, invoicing and general ledger system, trade funds tracking system and excel spreadsheets. Provided a cost center element of expense budgeting and reporting system that enabled web based data entry for budgets as well as monthly actual and budget reporting. Collaborated with Marketing teams to deliver systems for the Long Range Strategic Plan and the Marketing Plan for our Domestic and International Divisions by Brand, by project and by Region/Country.

Administered and supported management information systems for the $2B global agricultural business. Provided current and accurate sales and earnings information by country, by legal entity and by product to marketing, sales and financial executives.Led a team of international finance professionals to develop a multidimensional on-line analytical processing database containing product and P&L data enabling analysis and decision making for 50 countries, 60 legal entities and 4500 products. Managed the transfer of all financial systems from a mainframe to a LAN based PC environment. Systems included P&L reporting by country and by legal entity, product sales and profitability reporting, 3-year business plan and electronic data collection from 30+ countries for each system. Represented Finance on the development team of a manufacturing cost of sales system which tracked the flow of intercompany sourced materials through multiple entities by sku.

Developed and supported financial reporting systems for the Controllers Department. Served as a liaison between the financial and IT functions. Managed 2 accountants in the day-to-day accounting and monthly closings of the $1B division.Developed a 5 year business planning system integrating electronic data collection of 17 schedules from 25 countries, a relational data base containing 60 profit centers, 48 legal entities, 38 product groups and 25 currencies, with spreadsheet downloading capabilities.Reduced data collection, processing and validation from 3 weeks to 3 days, nightly overtime by the accountants reduced from 9 weeks to 3 weeks for this annual process.Subsequently added monthly reporting to the system.

Formed a systems group of skilled, knowledgeable and motivated people that significantly improved the quality and timeliness of the Controllers Department's response to the increasing information needs of management. Supervised 3 analysts and 2 accountants. Served as a liaison between the financial and IT functions.Enabled current, flexible reporting via daily downloads of corporate mainframe system files which were used for report writing by my group. Designed and developed PC business planning systems for 2 operating divisions.
