Daniel is a seasoned asset manager with over twenty years of experience in various prominent roles within the industry. He has successfully led and executed diverse investment processes across multiple countries, asset classes, and investments strategies catering to some of the largest institutional investors worldwide.Known for his expertise in quantitative investing, Daniel's passion lies in the broad field of asset management. He takes immense pride in never losing sight of the higher purpose of his work: helping individuals save for retirement, facilitating intergenerational wealth transfer, and contributing to the betterment of society through investments in transformative ideas and companies.Prior to Eqitron Daniel was Head of Multi Asset at Vontobel Asset Management been from 2017 to 2023. In January 2017 joined Vontobel Asset Management as Head of Vescore. At Vescore he built up the quantitative investment process until Vontobel Asset Management acquired the firm in 2016. From 2004 to 2008, Daniel ran the hedge fund platform of Swiss Capital Investment AG where he managed 1.5bn USD in fund of hedge fund investments. He started his career as an ESG analyst in 1997.Daniel’s career builds on his extensive asset allocation expertise and academic credentials in financial markets theory. In addition to a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from ETH Zurich (dipl. natw. ETH), he holds a PhD (Dr. oec. HSG) and a Master’s degree in Financial and Capital Markets Theory from the University of St. Gallen (lic. oec. HSG).Daniel resides in Switzerland with his partner, where they raise their daughter. During his leisure time, Daniel enjoys immersing himself in the realms of finance, investing, and asset management.
