I have completed the four-year program "Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology" at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Within this degree I acquired a high scientific interdisciplinary knowledge on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Engineering at the nanoscale, with specialty in Nanomedicine, Advanced Nanomaterials and Sustainable Nanomaterials for Energy and Environment. In the summer of 2019 I did a two-month internship at the Chemometrics team from the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA - CSIC). In 2020 I developed my Bachelor's Thesis at the Nanobioengineering team from the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), under the supervision of Director Prof. Josep Samitier.I have completed the two-year program "Erasmus Mundus Master of Science (MSc) in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology" between 2021 and 2023. I coursed the first year at KU Leuven (KUL) -the coordinator university- and the second one at Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), with specialty in Nanobiotechnology. I performed my Master's Thesis "Design of an In Vitro System to Study the Mechanical Stability of Cell Quadruplets" at the MicroTiss team from the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Physics (LIPhy) in UGA.

Double Summer Internship At Mebios InstituteKu Leuven Jul 2022 - Aug 2022Lovaina, Flandes, BélgicaI did a summer internship simultaneously in 2 different research groups within the MeBioS division (Department of Biosystems, KU Leuven). I worked in the Biosensors group and in the Biomimetics group, on alternate days. I had the chance to do trainings in a clean room, in wide field and fluorescence microscopy, in micro- and nanopatterning with soft lithography and maskless UV exposure methods and in continuous and digital microfludic systems for sorting and multiplexing cells, respectively and among others.Biosensors group. Design and fabrication of microfluidic chips for B cell mining for monoclonal antibody discovery. Under supervision of PhD candidate Julie Van Lent, Dr. Karen Ven & Prof. Jeroen Lammertyn.Biomimetics group. Optimization of microfluidic chips for high-speed image-based erythrocytes sorting. High School TeacherAcademia Acces Sl May 2021 - Jul 2021Canovelles, Cataluña, EspañaSummer teacher in a school with students in risk of social exclusion. My role was to help, guide and motivate students of different ages to pass their retakes whilst entertaining them and understanding all their different backgrounds. -
Bachelor Thesis In Nanobioengineering Group Of IbecInstitute For Bioengineering Of Catalonia (Ibec) Jun 2020 - Nov 2020Barcelona, Catalonia, SpainNanopatterning charaterization for cell-matrix interactions in chondrogenic differentiation of human msenchymal stem cells (hMSCs).ABSTRACTRegenerative medicine and cell therapy are truly promising fields with a great potential thanks to the huge development of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Cells can sense the extracellular matrix binding domains, as well as their density, distribution, stiffness and physicochemical properties. This physicochemical sensing ability allow them to adhere, proliferate and differentiate when some mechanical threshold forces are surpassed or some specific interactions are given, all driven by a mechanochemical transduction path with the extracellular matrix as main character. In this project, tailored RGD dendrimer-based uneven nanopatterns on PLLA films to direct chondrogenic commitment and differentiation are synthesized and characterized. Characterization of the different prepared nanopatterns is carried out by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) imaging. In addition, modelling of cell-matrix interactions is first performed by an adapted mathematical model which predicts force and position trends, simulating cell adhesion process. Then, a second characterization is performed by Lateral Force Microscopy (LFM) with and without integrin-on-tip (i-o-t) of the AFM, where surface friction coefficients of nanopatterns are obtained. -
Summer Research Intern At Idaea-CsicInstitute Of Environmental Sciences And Water Research, Idaea, Spanish Research Council (Csic) Jul 2019 - Aug 2019Barcelona Y Alrededores, EspañaI worked as an assistant on a Doctoral Thesis in charge of Prof. Romà Tauler and Prof. Silvia Lacorte. Here I learned how to obtain representative soil and water samples in field works and how to process them from scratch to quantify the presence of drugs and pesticides using GC-MS & HPLC-MS/MS. I also started a project based on macroporous devices and adsorbents to remove pollutants from water. Here I had to deal and ask for free samples of different adsorbents to companies to perform some initial experiments. -
Private TeacherSelf-Employed Sep 2014 - Jul 2019Sitges, Cataluña / Catalunya, EspañaI give private lessons to high school students, regardless they study science or letters. This job has been very useful to me in order to learn to explain and teach to students of different ages, putting patience into practice and forcing me to see different perspectives of a same subject. Since I begun I realised how teaching fullfills me.
