I have a strong interest and understanding of machines, process, and systems. I enjoy the industrial environment and the challenges it brings while working together with other trades towards a common goal. Growing up on a mixed family farm with a mechanic business brought on many valuable assets to my mechanical abilities. I developed skills in small engine, automotive, and agriculture mechanics. Welding with ARC, MIG, and oxy acetylene is also a great skills asset that I posses. As an industrial electrician I have been involved in all aspects of electrical construction of everything from garages to refineries. Some of my duties start to finish include construction of MCC control rooms incorporating PLC, UPS, distribution panels, as well as lighting, motor, and heat trace contactor panels. Complete field construction involving cable tray, teck cable heat trace, and trenching, as well as process wiring from junction box to field device via rigid aluminum and flex coduit.Previous experience working with a commercial refrigeration company has left me with a diverse understanding of HVAC and refrigeration. I really enjoyed the work and the challenge that service in the industry encompasses. While employed in the industry I was responsible for the diagnosing and repairing equipment involved in commercial heating and cooling as well as commercial refrigeration and food preparation equipment including but not limited to mixers, ovens, grills, dishwashers and dispensing equipment. Recent experience over the past 6 years has had me in a very exciting and fast paced environment. I have been through several sawmills over the years now and have picked up many valuable skills. My automation and PLC experience has had me on a steep learning curve. Working closely with supervisors and operators when troubleshooting and striving to improve productivity is something I truly enjoy. Throughout my industrial career I have had the opportunity to work with many different energy plants and systems. From heating boilers to 100 MBTU energy plants for drying and power generation has been a exciting addition to my skillset. I have my hours for my 4th class power engineering but have put the course on hold due to relocating to Saskatchewan.I like to think of myself as a very diverse individual willing to adapt to various different situations. There is no job to big or small. New opportunities and experiences are doors to new challenges that are always welcome.
