I am currently Self Employed in my own local Mathematics Tuitoring Buisness. I tutor mathematics to about a dozen students ranging from High school to university, on a weekly basis. I primarily focus on mathematics, but also occasionally tutor Prelim & HSC level science. In addition; I mentor these students a unique way of approaching highschool studies, such that they may become more confident with their own learning and academia.Before graduating highschool I was the school captain of the chess team for quite a number of years. I did my best to promote participation, and development of chess talent within the school. My goal was to develop younger students abilities and confidence such that the school would fall into a perpetual cycle of good quality chess players - for years to come.I find that I can easily relate to a wide range of students of different levels of ability - as I myself have experienced what it is like being at the top and the bottom of the class and how this can affect mental health & perceptions of self worth. I believe it is far more important for students to be confident in their ability to learn, than to be able to anxiously wrote learn information for an exam. I teach the former of the two.
