Current-Design & develop electro-mechanical fuel system components for industrial NG/LPG and gasoline engines.-Used Motohawk/Mototune (& New Eagle Raptor-Cal) software to validate basic control strategies on development engine control modules-Created a engine control strategy for isochronous gensets powered by gaseous-fueled 4-cylinder engine, using Mathworks Simulink and DSpace Targetlink. Published summary of engine controls under ASME paper ICEF2020-21185.-Assembled and programmed (Labview RT) engine simulator with National Instruments cRIO (FPGA mode) hardware for HIL testing.-Conduct DFEMA and execute DVP&R of electronic engine control and EFI components.-Guided co-workers in subsidiary to write code for engine control of large >150 kW gensets where engine controller would communicate to external modules via SAE J1939 communication protocol (Vector CAN db++ library). Also made a Labview program (with Kvaser CAN hardware) with simple user GUI for production line verification tests.-Presented at Generac Engineering Speaker Series: Genset load acceptance and sub-system control. Presented overview of ISO8528 step load, alternator V/F tuning, engine AFR and combustion timing, and turbocharger compressor sizing (including contributors to boost lag and threshold). All for obtaining the best possible genset load acceptance/rejection performance.
