Adult Mental Health Provider Specialist Network Operations – Responsible for overseeing and development of services and contracts in the Western Highlands Network (WHN) area to ensure adults with mental illness with a payer source of Medicaid or State funds, have timely access to treatment. •Provide development, oversight, technical assistance, monitoring, and endorsement of Adult Mental Health Providers in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, Mitchell, Yancey, Rutherford, Polk, and Transylvania Counties•Oversee the development, training, and oversight of six Crisis Walk-In Centers in the catchment area. Assisted in negotiating contract for the new Crisis Walk-In Center for Buncombe County. Maintain all state reporting requirements and developed reporting forms for the Western Highlands Network data collection needs.•Assisted in negotiating contract in Western Highlands Network northern rural counties to ensure baseline services are provided• Liaison for the Deaf and Hard of hearing Services for the Western Highland Catchment area•Complete customer service complaints, determine need for investigations and complete, make referrals to appropriate governing bodies as needed•Assist in the development, training, and oversight of all Tele-psychiatry sites in the catchment area•Western Highlands Representative for DMA/DHHS workgroups for the development of new ACTT and Supportive Employment Service Definitions in accordance with the Department of Justice Settlement with North Carolina•Monitor the Adult Mental Health service gap needs in the catchment area and work with provider organizations to develop needed services as well as the WHN Access Department to ensure providers are delivering needed services in a timely and appropriate fashion •Western Highlands presenter for the 2013 North Carolina Association of People Supporting Employment First (NCAPSE) conference •Voting member of the Appeals/Reconsideration Committee

Responsible for the development and implementation of TCM program in the Candler office to ensure the guidelines specified by the state are carried out to promote the continuity of care for consumers who do not qualify for a higher level of mental health services. Duties include assessing consumer's current level of need and referring them to appropriate area services that can better assist them in maintaining stability both in community and with their working relationships. Responsible for educating and working with area family care homes or primary care provider as well as other mental health providers as to the services provided by Strategic Intervention and address any questions or concerns that arise.
