I taught English in Taiwan for around 10 years, then volunteered and helped found a free school for homeless and marginalised children in Varanasi, India, where I taught English, Math, Science, Music and other subjects, as well as administering the school and training teachers. In between, I edited some B2B magazines in Bangalore, India for 5 years. Now I am back in Canada, my birhtplace, where I work as a support worker for adults with disabilities, and as a care aide for residents of a retirement community. I still support the development work in India through a registered nonprofit in Canada, which raises money for education, medical care, nutritional support and other poverty relief activities in India.
