Manage both the Tertiary programs and the delivery and recording of efficient, engaging and cost-effective compliance training to a broad range of employees within the region of responsibility, by understanding the needs of the business and implementing training programs and activities of the Company. Key responsibilities include:- Ensure an effective training system and associated processes are developed and maintained to effectively provide the required compliance training needs to the Wilmar Cane Products Group.- Manage end to end activities (ie recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, awards and recognition, RTO liaison to termination) of apprentices, trainees and cadets.- Manage work experience programs (PIC role working with regional personnel) to ensure that agreements/contracts relating to the area are centrally managed.- Deliver compliance training and assessment activities in alignment with relevant legislation and Wilmar policies and procedures.- Coordinate Factory Operations training program.- Development and update of training resources and documentation to ensure compliance with legislation and Wilmar policies.- Assist with coordinating, scheduling and recording of compliance training activities as required.- Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders including the provision of timely and accurate information, advice and reports.- Effectively consult with external education and government institutions in relation to vocational training, employment and funding requirements.- Manage RTO relations and third-party arrangements for all compliance training related activities.

The purpose of this role was to:- Coordinate and conduct training and assessing, maintain training records and complete reporting in an effective and timely manner.- Assist with scheduling of compliance training activities as required.- Provide services to all regions of the Cane Products group.Some of the key responsibilities of this role were:- Deliver training and assessment activities in alignment with relevant legislation and Wilmar policies and procedures.- Identify any language, literacy and numeracy issues during training and respond accordingly.- Maintain and conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) for relevant site/s.- Maintain training records.- Contribute to development and update of training resources to ensure compliance with legislation or Wilmar Policies.- Assist with scheduling of compliance training activities as required.- Liaise with relevant stakeholders as required.- Provide timely and accurate information, advice and reports to relevant stakeholders.- Ensure compliance with Registered Training Organisations policies, procedures and guidelines.- Maintain currency of registered training qualifications and affiliations.- Contribute actively, think critically, support peers and complete tasks on time and to a high standard.- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to continual improvement opportunities.- Undertake project work as directed by Training Superintendent.

At BSL we have Site Champions to align with the Pacific Aluminium HSE Standards. The purpose of this is to ensure that as a business, we continue to maintain conformance to the relevant standard, and identify improvements so that we can reduce injuries and incidents and help continue BSL's journey toward leading practice in the management of HSE risks.In this capacity, I lead and work with selected team members to:- Review and update the BSL HSE standard on an annual basis- Audit compliance against the standard annually- Remain knowledgeable on current legislation relating to the standard- Identify opportunities to improve by understanding examples of best practice at BSL and in other industries- Communicate any changes effectively to site- Share and provide progress of our work with site managers bi-annually at a BSL Managers Meeting

• The primary purpose of my role is to safely operate, improve and maintain as required the process and equipment to meet the performance standards as defined by my team leader• Roles include disassemble and reassemble pots on the Reduction Lines• Sound knowledge on the care and use of an oxy torch, welders (Steel and Aluminium), enerpacs, grinders, hand rammers, Brochot machine, rattle guns• Clean Pot Shells and Superstructures for fabrication• Ram Pot Shells using Brochot machine and hand rammers• Maintain a clean and safe work area• Report all accidents, incidents and hazards promptly• Not only look out for my safety, but also the safety of my fellow colleagues
