Trainned, performed and reported different experiments related to forensic science and archaeology.

I did my final internship at the Institute for Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland. I joined "Soils for Science" a citizens science project that focuses in the study of metabolomics of microbes coming from soil by using microbiology and chemistry analysis. By working in a PC2 laboratory I gained experience in sample preparation for chemical analysis and worked with size exclusion chromatography, LC/MS, HPLC, and QTOF. Also I performed biological assays in these samples with pathogens such as, E. coli, S. aureus, C. albicans, MRSA and VRE.

My Honours project revolved around the fish immunology area, supported by FONDECYT funding my project was titled “Autophagic modulation during an active immune response triggered by Piscirickettsia Salmonis in RT-gill”. During this project I performed transcriptomic analysis in fish cell line RT-gill challenged with P. Salmonis bacteria, by using different techniques such as RNA extraction, PCR, and qPCR. Also performed protein analysis through Electrophoresis SDS-PAGE and Western blot evaluating different genes and proteins related to immune response and autophagy.

Assisting the lab teacher with the management and supervision of students during the practical activity in the laboratory. Coordination and planning of the laboratory activities. Grading and giving feedback to the students.

• Helping students of different courses by practicing the different aspects of the English language such as grammar and vocabulary in the classroom and via Zoom. • Planning activities, communicating with a range of different students, identifying common mistakes, and giving them feedback and tools to develop progress. • Use of different ICT to enhance the learning process of students. Constant communication with professors of the program.
