• Provide engineering support to the RF unit production organization, while driving continuous improvement efforts and quality driven results.• Support the introduction of new products into production. Includes development of new manufacturing processes, automated processes, process control, cost control and tooling.• Responsible for transitioning projects from engineering using design for manufacturability/test techniques, to insure first pass success of products.• Identify and implement new equipment, processes, or upgrades that may be necessary to improve production delivery schedules.• Formulate product and tooling design concepts, following up with cost effective, functional designs, utilizing a DFM approach. Create and provide all necessary drawings and assembly instructions.• Research and development of new processes. Evaluate materials for appropriate and innovative process choice.• Interact cross functionally with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Operations Planning & Control, Quality, and Assembly organizations as necessary to resolve technical issues and non-conformance.• Initiate and author design changes in the form of ECOs.
