With a decade of full-time experience in Social Studies Education and a 5-year professional license in Ohio's Integrated Social Studies (grades 7-12), I've dedicated ten years to Thomas W. Harvey School in Painesville City Local School District. After graduating from John Carroll University in 2012 with a BA in History, my field experiences at Solon, Shaker Heights, Roxboro Elementary, and Twinsburg High provided invaluable insights. As a substitute teacher for Madison Local Schools, Mayfield City School District, and Painesville City Local Schools, I engaged in diverse grade levels, predominantly in middle school where I was a permanent building substitute at Heritage Middle School for over three years, teaching subjects like Language Arts, Math, and Intervention Specialist.In my tenure at PCLS, I coached soccer at both middle and high school levels. At Heritage, as assistant and head coach, we secured an impressive 75-3-1 record and won four Chagrin Valley Conference championships. Transitioning to Thomas W. Harvey High School in 2020, I contributed as an assistant varsity and head junior varsity soccer coach, guiding the team to a 62-12-2 record, securing two Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division Championships and the school's inaugural district title in 2023.My full-time experience began at Heritage Middle School, teaching 8th-grade United States History. I currently instruct at Thomas W. Harvey High School, covering Economics, American History, World History, African American History, Multi-Cultural History, and Contemporary World Issues. Additionally, since 2020, I've been the dedicated chaperone for Harvey's Future Business Leaders of America chapter.
