Managed day-to-day needs of a medium-sized computer network for the college of information science and technology at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Ensured critical servers remained patched to vulnerabilities and firewalls updated to mitigate invasion and downtime. Provided additional support for special projects and research teams, as well as recommendations for technology purchases. Managed a team of undergraduate students working to gain experience in the field and provided them special projects to hone their skills in various areas of the operational computer field.

Greater Omaha Area

Performed research assistance in the realm of computer forensics, more specifically data hiding and recovery. Generated test-beds later used for hands-on lessons in understanding the skills used by people to surreptitiously hide data within a computer system using stealth or cryptography. Learned usage of AccessData's Forensic Toolkit (FTK) and Guidance Software's EnCase to later assist with the teaching of it use to federal and corporate entities in a course entitled Rapid-Response Cyber Forensics. Tested the efficacy of "data-shredders" to determine if they could hamper the collection of digital forensic evidence.
