Responsible for leading the equipment engineering, maintenance and logistics (shipping & receiving, inventory control and general stores) departments in support of manufacturing operations for a 200mm wafer fabrication facility. Led a department of 85 employees, including 5 section managers as direct reports, and managed a multi-million-dollar materials and services operating budget. Author and owner of the maintenance business process specification for global front end manufacturing in alignment with ISO9001:2015-based international standards.Defined strategy, developed programs and managed projects to improve safety, quality, efficiency and operational costs, as well as in support of other organizational goals. Managed multi-tool equipment installation projects utilizing resources from multiple disciplines. Coordinated activities and developed collaborative efforts with peers in Production, Process Engineering, Quality, EHS, Site Services, Procurement, Finance and others on multiple topics. Coached and mentored employees, enabling an empowered workforce and providing opportunities for professional growth. Developed and implemented improvements to preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Supervisor and equipment engineer responsible for employees and semiconductor manufacturing equipment in plasma etch, wet chemical etch, plasma resist strip and semiconductor metrology. In addition to equipment engineering responsibilities, supervised 16 technicians working across 4 shifts in a 24x7 manufacturing environment, including personnel hiring, assessment and development. Participated as part of the 1st line management triad (process, equipment and production) for strategic planning and tactical execution of programs and projects for area improvements.

Responsible for semiconductor manufacturing equipment in metal deposition (plasma sputter) and ion implant. Participated in the capital procurement process, managed equipment installation projects, developed preventive maintenance procedures, identified and implemented equipment improvements, supported new technology development, assisted technicians and process engineers in troubleshooting difficult equipment problems, and initiated/managed continuous improvement projects.

Lead engineer in the Standards and Calibration Laboratories. Maintained the primary physical measurement standards for the INL to ensure traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology for parametric measurements made throughout various INL programs. Performed uncertainty analyses (MSA), developed specialized calibration techniques, improved measurement processes, and developed solutions to test measurement problems. Developed automation techniques utilizing computer programs and procedures for improving the accuracy, precision and efficiency of calibration processes. Provided training and assistance to technicians and engineers in measurement theory, problem solving, diagnostics and procedure development.Primary responsibilities included mass, temperature, pressure, gas flow, liquid flow, torque and other derived measurement unit standards, including working directly with NIST for primary standard calibration. Contributed as an engineering consultant for development and maintenance of other physical, dimensional and electrical/electronic measurements and methods. Served the INL as a consultant on measurement problems and helped maintain the integrity of the scientific operations of the Standards and Calibration Laboratories.
