My favorite part of any role is working with people. I have worked 6 different jobs, and the people have always been the best part. Throughout my life, when I have searched for jobs, I have looked for ones where I can interact and help people. Because of this, I have learned valuable skills that I believe will be useful to your organization.One skill that I have picked up is how to be personable. While each of the roles I have worked have been unique, learning how to work with people has always been crucial to my success. In order to be personable, I have had to learn how to start conversation, diffuse conflict, and manage relationships. I have not only found that this is an area I am skilled in, but have found that, often, this is the part of the job I enjoy the most.Another skill I have learned is how to put others needs over my own. I have often worked on teams, and this has taught me that, in most cases, what benefits the group is better than what benefits me. I have learned how to support people as they work in groups, make sure all voices are heard in group setting, and, most importantly, have learned how to trust leaders and work towards goals that I don't personally value. Putting my own needs aside for the good of the group has given me a unique giftedness in working for a group or on a team.
