I am currently a Supply Chain Manager at Seachrome Corp., in Long Beach, California.I oversee purchasing department, as well as shipping and receiving, and warehouse.I am glad that I lead these somewhat diverse and at the same time supporting each other functions.This wide spread of responsibilities exposes me daily to many facets of our organization, a great platform for someone with passion for supply chain.Since our company is a place where a status quo is not the answer, I had been on a lookout for an approach that would allow us to improve our shipping and receiving, as well as warehouse operations, where daily issues called for some new approach, and Eureka, I found it in form of Lean, and with some research on the subject I have developed an irreversible passion for it.In a very quick manner I started to devour literature treating on the lean subject, I also began, as much as possible, attend conferences, seminars, and workshops, and as a result Lean started to permeate my life, both; professional and private one.Furthermore, most importantly, parallel with Lean teachings, I embarked on learning by doing, that is applying Lean principles and teaching them to my subordinates.As a result for more than a year now, my teams have been working diligently on developing and growing so called Lean Culture of continuous improvements and development.I am proud to say that our teams' Lean spirit and culture have spread throughout our organization.As of today our operations and production have been through couple months of Lean training and undergone many Kaizen events.It is an amazing journey with no end.When I am not at work, I spend plenty of time with my daughter, and when time allows I work on different projects around the house.I simply enjoy small and sometimes slightly bigger handymen type/ construction projects.I also work out five times a week, alternating different workout videos to surprise my body so that one routine does not take over.

  Currently working as a Supply Chain Manager in charge of off-shore and local procurement.Oversee procurement of both; raw materials and finished goods from local and international vendors.Source and vet international suppliers.Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with qualified suppliers.Oversee and work with suppliers on multiple projects of developing new and/or custom products and components. Also, work in capacity of a manager of both shipping and receiving, and warehouse departments.Lead implantation of and ensure a sustainable Lean culture at those two departments. Teach lean concepts and lean tools, run daily Lean huddles, oversee and facilitate improvements projects within those two departments.And be part of and assist overall lean improvements in many different functions of the organization, including; manufacturing and assemblies.
