I am a CPA Qualified Tax Agent running a small boutique Accounting Firm in the Clarence Valley of NSW. I have over 20 years Accounting experience and love personal interactions with my clients. I am passionate about the outdoors and enjoy spending time with family and friends. There's plenty more below if you care to read it.In 2000 I took a job as a Junior Accountant at Thomas Noble & Russell in Lismore whilst undertaking my Business Degree. I thought I would do 12 months as experience to see if I liked Accounting. More than 20 years later and I am a Practicing Member of CPA Australia and Registered Tax Agent running a boutique Accounting Firm DKS Accounting, so I guess I liked Accounting after all. During those 20 plus years I have serviced all manner of clients in all forms of structures from Sole Traders to large family groups operating multiple entities with many layers of companies and trusts. I have a passion for working with clients on their business goals. Tax compliance is necessary and we do it very well but advice and personal interaction with my clients is what gets me up in the morning. I thrive on being the trusted advisor to my clients often going beyond the basic compliance scenarios.In 2014 with the help of my wonderful supportive and talented wife we established DKS Accounting. Our focus has and will continue to be providing the best possible service through the use of technology and personal communication. Our clients are spread across Australia and come to us from direct referrals from our existing clients. As the son of a 4th generation Builder I have a passion for servicing the trades but our clients span across many industries including Investment, Recruitment, Legal, Marine, Primary Production, Personal Services, and Retail.Over the years I have built a network of professional advisors in many fields such as Business Finance, Property Finance, Insurance, Law, Investment and Accounting to name a few that I leverage for my clients. If my clients have a need that I cannot directly fulfil I call upon my network to meet that need.As a father of 4 boys I understand the difficulties in getting the balance between work and family right. Its extremely important to me to be a present father and husband whilst maintaining financial security and building wealth for my family. Many of my clients are in the same boat and this helps me understand their own struggles which I believe makes me a better advisor.

I became a member of CPA Australia in 2007 and in the same year I took on the role as Management Accountant at Big River Group, a Manufacturing Business with over 300 staff and 7 sites. During my time there I worked with management to improve many manufacturing processes improving efficiencies and profit. I was responsible for overseeing the weekly payroll of over 300 staff and managed all taxation obligations for the company along with monthly financial reporting to the board.In 2010 I returned to AB Accounting as Manager during a tumultuous time for the firm with the goal of assisting the Principal in rebuilding the business. Between 2010 and 2014 I was instrumental in the growth of the business to the point I felt I had achieved the goals I had set out to do. It was in 2014 that I branched out on my own and started DKS Accounting.Since 2014 DKS Accounting has continued to grow, offering new services and attracting clients from all industries and locations across Australia.
