CurrentFounded in 1926, The Palace Theatre in Greensburg, PA is a historic cultural landmark and concert venue celebrated for its stunning architecture and vibrant entertainment offerings. Originally known as the "Manos Theatre," it debuted as a vaudeville and silent movie house—quickly becoming a beloved entertainment hub within the Laurel Highlands and Pittsburgh regions. Throughout its storied history, The Palace Theatre has hosted luminaries ranging from The Dalai Lama to the iconic comedian George Carlin. Presently, The Palace Theatre hosts approximately 100 live performances annually in its 1,367-seat venue, showcasing renowned national-touring acts, Broadway shows, live concerts, comedy acts, symphony performances, family shows, and more. The theatre also proudly hosts “Party at The Palace,” Westmoreland Cultural Trust’s signature annual fundraising gala.The Palace Theatre is operated and managed by Westmoreland Cultural Trust. Westmoreland Cultural Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to stimulate cultural and economic development in the region, to promote the performing arts, and to preserve and enhance the region’s assets for the benefit of the community.In addition to The Palace Theatre, the Trust oversees the Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, which serves as a cultural center for community events, weddings, and more. Furthermore, the organization spearheads various arts and music-based initiatives, including Wings Across Westmoreland, Art in the Alley, Greensburg ArtsWalk, Music Fest, and its popular summer outdoor concert series, TGIS.
