My experience as a graduate assistant coach and as a Division I athlete at VirginiaCommonwealth University has prepared me to effectively manage my time and complete tasksassigned to me in an efficient manner. I have worked with the VCU golf team to trackand organize statistics in order to improve player performance during tournament rounds. Lastfall, I helped organize and run an 11-team golf tournament at the NCAA Division 1 level. Myresponsibilities as the graduate assistant for the golf team allowed me to gain experience intournament management, social media management, and by completing a multitude ofadministrative tasks.For the Spring 2019 semester, the Center for Sport Leadership Program planned anevent for The First Tee of Greater Richmond. During the planning process, I worked closelywith Kelly McAnally of The First Tee in an effort to foster a mutually beneficial event for TheFirst Tee and the children that participated in the event. This real world hands-on experience was instrumental in my professional development; but also gave me critical experience inevent management. In addition, through this event, The First Tee of Greater Richmond extended their outreach in the community for which they serve.My golf industry work experience has prepared me to be an effective employee of the golf industry. My experiences caddying at Kinloch Golf Club and Chambers Bay Golf Course will allow me to incorporate the quality customer service skills learned while serving members of the Golf industry.
