- Experienced educator based in Northumberland. - 20 years a teacher of English and Media in a variety of catchment contexts. - I have led CPD on a number of topics, with a particular interest in cognitive load and the development of literacy and SEND provision within secondary education. - I have also led on digital learning packages in school with a focus on literacy development.On my full-time timetable I have delivered programmes of study across KS3-5 in English Language and English Literature. I am also lead Internal Verifier for BTEC National Level 3 Creative Digital Media, collaborating with and leading colleagues on the delivery of this course.For nearly a decade I worked across the curriculum in two schools, advising on resource adaptation and accessibility for students with low levels of literacy and special education needs.In the last four years, I have become accredited by the UN to teach about climate change. I have developed resources and delivered assemblies working towards the goal of promoting climate literacy in young people.
