As a co-author of the Cornwall Energy Third Party Charges Report, I am also heavily involved in analysing network, environmental and energy efficiency charges.

I maintain the Cornwall Energy (CE) retail model, which requires up-to-date information on wholesale and retail market prices and third party charges. I'm heavily involved in the CE third party charges reports; forecasting future environmental policy costs and transport use of system charges. I keep tabs on Ofgem supplier hedging forecasts, and report and maintain a database on Big Six segmental accounts.The day-to-day running of the Energy User Portal (http://www.energy-portal.co.uk/) falls under my remit, along with daily and some weekly uploads. A free trial is available on the site. I write the Daily Bulletin when required, and I'm developing a strong regulatory background; being responsible for regulation stories in the Daily and the Parliamentary and Regulatory Consultations register.I also keep up to date with developments regarding the Renewables Heat Incentive (RHI).

Main responsibilities included conducting working practice and hygiene audits of the factory and surrounding buildings, developing an analytical mind and effective communication to solve problems, testing food and surface samples for microbes, advising factory operatives on tolerable heat and microbe levels, managing databases and paperwork.

I travelled the country, from Exmouth on the West Coast, south to Margaret River country, and then east through Adelaide and Melbourne, and finally north up the East Coast as far as Cairns. I held numerous jobs including warehouse supervisor, sheep farmer, herb farm hand, grape picker, roofing labourer, bread factory operative, and voluntary palaeontological work. Fulfilling experience, incredible country, so many stories.

As a lab technician I analysed barley, wheat, rye and other grain for malting suitability. This primarily involved testing nitrogen and water levels, but further testing was occasionally completed.I worked in a small group to strict deadlines, had to multi-task effectively and maintain control of the workload, maintain a company-wide database, and communicate with managers and individuals from other companies.
