I'm a transfer student at the Colorado School of Mines, and I'm currently in my fourth year studying mechanical engineering. I'm an active member of Formula SAE, and previously held a the position of Vice President at the Transfer Student Club. I've worked at Norfolk Iron and Metal as a Programming and Estimating Intern, working with several different departments within the company to deliver metal processing solutions directly to customers. I also spent a summer at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology as a Research Assistant, working on a research paper covering the an alternate method for processing manganese. I have an immense passion for what I currently study, and as time goes on I only recognize more that I chose the right path in life and topic of study. I have excellent CAD skills, have my CSWA, and take pride in my ability to learn new software, be it CAD related or not. I'm also experienced in manufacturing and have practical machining skills, along with hardware and software integration knowledge, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. I'm a quick learner, and a creative problem solver who is results oriented without forgetting about the small details. I hope to work in the defense industry as either a design or systems engineer, because I'd like to be able to apply my technical and professional skills to a wide variety of problems.
