-Responsible for the discipline, welfare and training of a 30-40 Marine platoon.-Provide, conduct, and supervise performance-based counseling and mentorship within theplatoon.-Set a positive and professional example by which Marines can learn and adhere.-Tactically employ and lead a section of 2-5 Light Armorer Vehicle-25s(LAV) in training and theater operations.-Maintain accountability of all personnel, weapons, and equipment organic to an LAVplatoon worth over 7 million dollars.-Track and supervise the execution of all first echelon preventative and correctivemaintenance and coordinate all second echelon maintenance for (4) LAV-25s. worth over 6 million dollars.-Perform administrative duties and coordinate logistical requirements of 30-40 Marine platoon.-Ensure mission accomplishment of all platoon level tasks and training requirements.-Assist the platoon commander in developing and implementing training for the platoon.-Perform the duties of the platoon commander in his absence.-Execute any collateral tasks which may be assigned by the chain of command.

-Ensure applicants who enlist and ship to recruit training meet all enlistment criteria,qualify for applicable enlistment options, and have complete and correct enlistmentpackages.-Coordinate applicant scheduling for mental and physical testing with Military EntranceProcessing Station (MEPS) personnel.-Verify DD Form 1966(Enlistment Contract) for completeness and accuracy.-Verify each Marine applicant's age, education level, and status of any involvement withcivilian police agencies.Identify applicant packages missing documents per Recruiting Sub-Station (RSS) on aweekly basis and publish report to Operations and to Staff Non-Commisioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC's) for reconciliation.-Report discrepancies in Marines enlistment packages to the Commanding Officer using theMEPS Quality Control Report.
