I am a professor at University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS). I hold a Doctorate (Ph.D.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). During my Ph.D. and M.Sc., I was supervised by Prof. Dr. Marinho Barcellos. I also hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from UNISINOS. My main areas of expertise and research topics include information security, computer networks, distributed systems, focusing on programming, offensive security, large-scale data centers, cloud computing, software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), network programmability, network virtualization, Internet of Things (IoT) and performance measurements. In the past, I have also worked with operational systems, file systems and peer-to-peer (P2P).Furthermore, I have published papers in highly relevant national and international journals and conferences, including Elsevier Computer Networks, Elsevier Computer Communications, IFIP Networking and IFIP/IEEE Integrated Network Management Symposium (IM).
