NEXUS Personalized Health Technologies is an ETH core facility for medicine and clinical research. NEXUS provides services along the whole value chain of biomedical research and development projects. It offers services in clinical bioinformatics, statistics, biomedical data management, software engineering and lab automation. Since summer of 2022 I am Managing Director of the facility. Before, I was the head of the Clinical Bioinformatics Unit since its foundation in late 2014, in which I also played a major role (www.nexus.ethz.ch). Since May 2021 I am Senior Scientist at ETH Zurich.Before taking the helm at CBU I was CEO of my own statistical consulting company Quantik AG, which I founded directly after my PhD at ETH Zurich in Mathematics (Statistics).I am interested in reproducibility, systems for FAIR data, turning research into applicable tools, and the general future ecosystem of health. I am also interested in improving clinical diagnostics, harmonising global knowledge about molecular makeups of disease, and in general statistical representation of results, be it visualisation or numbers.
