As Project Director, I was responsible for an international project portfolio and managing over 40 employees across 5 different engineering disciplines. During the COVID-19 pandemic, with all projects being international – including in China – remote management and innovative digital solutions became essential. I had to navigate travel restrictions and cultural differences while ensuring effective leadership across multiple continents.All the projects were 100% development projects with no prior experience or case studies to draw from, which added significant complexity to both the financial and project management aspects. Additionally, I handled project follow-up and controlling, alongside managing a team of project managers and engineers.My role required continuous adaptation to new challenges and a hands-on approach to ensure projects were delivered on time, within budget, and with high quality – across global borders.
