As the Head of Engineering in Axis Capital’s Renewable Energy team I work closely with underwriters, project sponsors and our claims team to enhance AXIS’ role as a risk partner to clients by providing risk management advice and engineering expertise. I have worked in renewable energy since 2001, in both utilities and the consultancy sector, on wind, solar and ES projects from California to China, including many GW of offshore wind projects. I enjoy working with clients to fully capture the value and risk offered by renewable project opportunities, and help maximise returns through my specialist technical insight across the whole lifecycle. Prior to joining Axis I was a Director at the Renewables Consulting Group where I headed up the global transaction advisory function and oversaw all project due diligence work for Private Equity and Debt transactions. Before that I managed the resource assessment department at SSE Renewables which was responsible for designing and modelling the energy yield from some of the largest on- and offshore wind farms in Europe, and analysing operational wind farm performance.I am also a guitarist and keen kite surfer and have lived all my life in London, UK.
