- Responsible for all wind analysis provided to the SSE onshore and offshore wind developments team, which include: Energy Production Assessments for onshore and offshore wind farms, using CFD models for ambient and wake modelling Layout designs, optimized for energy capture, loading and noise impacts Internal and OEM turbine suitability reports Third party due diligence reports for acquisitions and divestments Production based energy production estimates (PBEPE) and performance analysis- Agreeing alterations to wind farm annual budgets with the Wind Generation manager based on PBEPE analysis- Leading the wind due diligence for > 3000 MW of wind farm acquisitions globally- Explaining variations in wind farm performance relative to budget to SSE senior management - Managing a suite of technical policy documents and monitoring equipment specifications to ensure high quality wind analysis - Running internal and joint industry R&D projects to continually improve analysis methods - Ensuring Staff and Contractor compliance with SSE SHE targets and embedding a behavioural based safety culture- Steering Committee member for the EWEA – affiliated Power Curve Working Group

My initial role at SSE (formerly Airtricity) involved buliding on my skillset in EPA production and wind turbine layout design, supporting the wind development teams in England, Wales, Portugal and UK Offshore. Highlights included:- Optimization of the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm- Wind prospecting analysis for >500 MW of projects in Portugal- Training and line management of a junior wind analyst - Overseeing the safe installation of Portugal's first 60m pole met masts and embedding a "Zero harm" SHE approach in the contractors- Inspection and testing of new met mast designs and remote sensing equipment- Development of wind analysis technical policies and procedures - Liaison with turbine suppliers during tender and contract stage.

During my time at RWE Innogy (formerly National Wind Power), I developed a high level of competency in the following aspects of wind resource assessment:- Energy Yield Assessments using in house software, WASP and WindFarmer- Wind turbine layout designs- Site screening and feasibility studies using ArcView.- Management of the installation and maintenance of met masts across 30 sites onshore and offshore, including at the UK's first offshore wind farm (North Hoyle)- Field testing of the first commercial LiDAR for wind resource assessment (the Qinetiq ZephIR)- Civil and met mast contractor management, including all elements of site safety - Deployment of various oceanographic monitoring devices and data analysis.- Analysis of wind farm SCADA data and production of monthly wind farm performance reports for Operations team.- Training and line management of a wind monitoring engineer
