As a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Robert Gordon University, I bring a unique blend of academic knowledge, practical experience and determination to the engineering sector, currently working within the Oil and Gas industry. I have a decade of retail experience, I have honed my customer service and communication skills, enabling me to adapt quickly and thrive in diverse team environments.My engineering journey has been enriched by two summers of hands-on experience, where I engaged with various project management procedures and systems. This exposure not only enhanced my adaptability and time management skills but also deepened my confidence in tackling complex engineering challenges.My passion for renewable energy has driven my focus toward sustainable practices, advanced technologies and reducing our environmental impact. I have completed an Offshore Wind Essentials course, visited Flotation Energy’s Kincardine floating offshore wind farm and SSE Thermals Peterhead powerstation, furthering my understanding and enthusiasm for renewables and the energy sector.Beyond engineering, I am passionate about motorsport - particularly Formula One and the British Touring Car Championship, STEM developments and nature. I enjoy exploring the advancing technologies and their potential for sustainability and how these can be used within society. I also love traveling, exploring new places, as well as appreciating our abundance of natural landscapes in Scotland. I am eager to contribute to innovative engineering solutions that address the energy challenges whilst promoting sustainability, driving for clean, healthier and fairi communities for everyone.
