This involves all works from ground preparation to piling and substructural works into form working, steel fixing, stressing and post-tensioning works and all concrete pours and installation of parapets. The programming and planning and execution of these works were delivered under budget and 10 weeks ahead of program. He also managed the substructure works for Kangaroo Valley post-tension voided slab bridge. These works included RE-walls, piling and substructure works and coordination and supervision of the 1100m3 pour (19 hours – three pumps using continuous concrete). While completing bulk and detailed earthwork supervision, Daniel has moved into the role of Finishing Works Supervisor which involves earthworks preparation for final subgrade levels, installation pit lids and SO gutters as well as installation of F-type barriers and supervision of all road furniture and major and minor signage, including piling operations.Gerringong Upgrade | $340m | General Foreman | Roads and Maritime Services | Sep 2012 -May 2015This Design and Construct contract involved a major upgrade to 7.5km .Daniel was responsible for a large section of works which included 85,000m3 of hard rock extraction. Simultaneously, he coordinated the bulk and detailed earthworks in the area, including the drainage works, 1.2km of soil-nail wall that involved drilling, shotcreting and construction of footing and capping beam. He managed the installation of 1.2km of rammed earth panelling (up to 9.5m high) and construction of 40m-long Super-T. Main duties include:• Working with an Integrated Management System • Liaising with clients and contractors, and maintaining good healthy working relationships.• Planning, programming and supervising small and large scale civil and industrial construction projects. Delivering programmed work on time and within budget. Monitor and review the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary.• Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and supervision of construction activities including all aspects of excavation works, shoring works, drilling, piering, screw piling and pile driving works, form working, steel fixing, concreting works, anchoring and shot-creting works, bridge construction both concrete and steel, fabrication and welding works, pipe work installation, Installation of mechanical plant and equipment (e.g. hydroelectric turbine), plumbing and drainage works, road works, landscaping and environmental management.• Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes and standards, which form part of the contract.• Maintaining safe and efficient work methods during all stages of construction. Ensure planned controls for safety, environmental and quality assurance aspects of the project are met. Ensure that hazards are identified, risks assessed and control measures planned and implemented in consultation with relevant project stake holders and employees.• Ensure that all personnel are inducted and trained in their roles and responsibilities, and are competent to perform the duties allocated to them.• Promptly advise management of any issues that could be variations to the contract and keep accurate records of all site issues.
