    CO-TF1 is one of the 28 National FEMA Urban Search & Rescue (US&R) Teams that respond to disasters on a State and National basis. Each US&R Task Force has the ability to deploy a self-sufficient 70-person team that can conduct search & rescue operations in a disaster setting for up to 72 hours without additional support. Worked for a number of years as the Logistics Manager for CO-TF1 - transitioned to the position of TFL in 2002. Served on the US&R Incident Support Team (IST) since 1995 in the following positions:• Logistics • POA Mobilization Specialist• Demobilization Unit Leader • Transportation Unit Leader• US&R Specialist The IST provides incident management support to US&R Task Forces operating in the field. It also provides operational and management “linkage” between the Task Forces and local, State, and Federal government during deployments. Responded to numerous disasters/events including:• 1995 Oklahoma City bombing• 2001 NYC World Trade Center collapse• 2002 Winter Olympics• 2004 G8 meeting• 2008 RNC• 11 hurricane deployments over the years including: Charley, Katrina, Ivan, and Sandy • 2013 Colorado floods
