Working with implementations of AI-software and high performance computing. It's a sysadmin/integrations type of role with consulting on site baked into it. Prototyping, documenting, automating. Various flavours of Linux being run, testing different things to have plans ready for customers.Also doing some internal infrastructure work on top of that. It varies from day to day.

Sysadmin coding job, for short. Automating where automation can be done. Puppet, python, bash.. mostly. Enabling "devops" (application specialists) on "internal clouds" (someone elses computer), physical and virtual servers. F5 BIGIP and it's modules are heavily used for redundancy. The role of a sysadmin is re-emerging so explaining what I do here is a novel in itself. SDE, Software Defined Everything is probably the best way of telling how it is. It's all becoming code. Currently experimenting with serverless infrastructure for better scalability in clouds. Servers that self-destruct? Oh boy!Check_mk, nagios, TWS, inhouse CMDB, DNSSEC/DNS, Satellite, SELinux, RHEL, SCAP and Redhat cluster are things I create things in, around or for.Around 2013 I requested a switch from web specialist linux technician to generalist linux technician and was reassigned. Area of responsibility shifted to platform as a whole instead of a specific implementation.

Linux/Unix sysadmin with network responsibilities. Ericsson and other turnkey ready platforms. Wap proxy, mobile website, bluelight positioning services, commercial positioning servers, load balancers cisco css and F5 BIGIP, inhouse early warning and end2end performance measurement system via robotic dialup systems, cacti, network configuration on cisco routers and switches and smaller brands. I also helped out with the SMSC, MMSC and OTA. I was also a vendor contact and administered the RSG firewall solution for vendor support access.Operating systems were mainly RHEL Redhat Enterprise Linux and Solaris. I even used SCO Unix and some instance of AIX.Physical installation of servers in data centers. Cable routing. RMA cases.

Technical support via phone to enterprise ranging to SOHO customers. On premises Cisco equipment over ATM mostly, but also Nokia and fibrolan fiber switches in that order. Also did some SOAP/XML API support for Value-Added-Services partners. A sidenote is we administered the switched network for KTH student apartments.The product we mainly supported was called datanet, and it's VRF, VLAN and DSCP over MPLS. Distribution network down to CPE. Mostly ATM, but also redundant fibers and radio links. Some L2 tunnels nationwide. ISP ACLs were also administered here and we also supplied internet access.We were also support for the SNIX network which is an encrypted mainframe network for all the major banks in Sweden.

Employed by Transcom AB, working towards one single client as ISP tech support facing private customers. I.e. my former employer. The same job as before, except a new yet old boss. Also was part time product informer which is tech support for the tech support guys on product specific knowledge and generic technical questions.

1st line tech prototype support on all Bredbandsbolaget/Bredbandsfabrikken products and telecom technologies. Mainly worked with cisco, ericsson and lucent hardware. Supported private customers with setups and troubleshooting. Some SOHO customers and a few enterprise customers. The majority were Swedish, but we also had Norwegian and danish customers.Services I solved cases for included internet access via cat5 cable, fiber converters, website tv-streaming, topbox streaming, VOIP, email, file servers, web servers, network installation, software firewalls, routers, modems, antivirus software and telephone cabling. Also did RMA, ordered and booked on-site techs and customer reimbursement.Some support cases on refurbished computers we sold customers who had the network installed but no computer and the odd custom bid customer who ordered special solutions for their neighborhoods.

A very short stint as a generic call center agent. Helped elderly book travels, telco customer support, complaint handling. Got stolen out of this one by people working at B2 Bredband AB asking me why I wasn't working in my field of interest/expertise.
