A confident and hard working individual with a full appreciation of health and safety legislation and many years of hands-on experience who achieves balanced and successful results every time.Key Skills:● Demonstrable engineering experience acquired from six years of clear and rapid career advancement within the Royal Navy. ● Highly proficient in the completion of complex planned and emergency maintenance works for all mechanical and electrical equipment, delivering upon objectives within highly pressurised and time sensitive working environments. ● Comprehensive technical expertise including but not limited to engines, generators (oil, gas, diesel), saltwater pumps (high and low pressure and submersible), oil and fuel transfer pumps, suction pumps, air compressors, sewage treatment plants, steering gear, fridges and air conditioning units.● Fully versed in the completion of daily electrical testing, maintenance, cleaning and repair including cable repairs, fuse and circuit board changes, valve cleaning and reconstruction and emergency lighting maintenance.● Working knowledge of safety control protocols including the checking of breathing apparatus, emergency escape breathing devices and fire fighting equipment.● Skilled in the accurate and timely completion of engineering documentation including the recording of all parameter readings and condition monitoring.● Carrying out watch keeping duties consisting of daily, nightly and weekend shifts.● Comprehensive knowledge of on and off shore health and safety and risk management; implementing safe working practices and ensuring all counterparts are fully conversant with relevant methodologies and legislation.● Competent in TIG, MIG and ARC welding.
