I work in the transfer center handling incoming requests for patient transfers and ambulances. Outlying hospitals contact our center to request a transfer. Once accepted, we then coordinate the transfer, bed request and notify the sending facility. We also handle incoming patients by ambulance. Notification is then sent to the appropriate staff of the incoming patient. Acute care services, such as cardiac cath lab, stroke, trauma, OB trauma, and AAA, are notified to the appropriate hospital staff to ensure resources are activated for patient treatment.

The Trauma Registrar position is responsible for the identification, collection, and management of health, medical and outcome information on all trauma patients and in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Primary responsibilities include abstracting and coding specific patient, injuries and treatment information from numerous sources (physician offices, MMC and other health care facilities) as well as maintaining and updating existing patient records.

I handled incoming customer service calls for small and medium businesses throughout New England. I was also a supervisor handling customer escalations from other representatives. This entailed working with multiple departments to try to rectify the issue. Specialty telecommunication circuit requests were also function of my position.
