Core responsibilities include preparing investment files for projects, building project schedules, writing technical specifications, performing risk management studies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within the scope and budget. I’ve been asked to speak twice about my work at the Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke Oven Association annual conference.

Responsible for managing the reactive and proactive equipment reliability portfolio in Cokemaking. I have conducted well over 100 root cause analysis investigations including between other business units and outside contractors. I am considered by many at Dofasco to be an expert in root cause analysis investigations. I also gained considerable experience in reliability-centered maintenance. I was responsible for working with operations and maintenance to create proactive maintenance plans that have saved Dofasco millions of dollars per year and reduced delay rates at the coke plants. Core responsibilities include creating and implementing proactive maintenance plans, entering maintenance plans into Bentley APM software, developing 5-year plans, performing cost/benefit analysis, and investigating equipment failures
