The Cotswold Distilling Company was born out of a dream to produce ultra-premium small batch whisky and other spirits in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. The only full-scale distillery operating within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Cotswolds Distillery first opened its doors in July 2014 on a beautiful rural site in the North Cotswolds. Production of its flagship Cotswolds Dry Gin and Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky began shortly thereafter, and the distillery now produces a large range of "Outstanding Natural Spirits". It's Cotswolds Dry Gin has received numerous awards, including World's Best London Dry Gin at the 2016 World Gin Awards, Gold Medals in the San Francisco Spirits Competition two years in a row, and most recently, a Gold Outstanding at the 2017 International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC). The company's flagship Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky was first released in October 2017, and has received "Liquid Gold Awards" from renowned whisky writer and critic Jim Murray for 3 years in a row. The Cotswolds Distillery distributes its spirits across the region and through a number of national distribution networks, and also exports to over 30 countries. The distillery receives over 30,000 visitors per year, and is the #1-rated tourist attraction in the Cotswolds per TripAdvisor.

Daniel Szor was with FX Concepts from 1987 through its demise in October 2013. He is a seasoned marketing professional with over 25 years investment sales experience and was a partner as well as Head of European & Middle East marketing, member of senior management, director of the UK subsidiary, and manager of the London office. He raised several billion dollars in assets from banks, pension and sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds and family offices. He had a strong track record of achievement in conceptualizing, implementing and managing the European subsidiary of an American investment management firm. He is Bilingual (US/French), tri-cultural (US/French/UK) and at ease in both American and European business contexts. 2006 – 2013 Managing Director, FX Concepts (UK) LtdSet up the firm’s London office and oversaw the move from Paris, FSA registration etc. Managed the UK-based sales force responsible for selling the firm’s investment funds, overlay strategies and investment research into the UK, continental Europe, Middle East and LATAM. Built and maintained strong relationships with all leading investment consultants. Managed investor relationships with banks, major pension and soverign wealth funds, fund of funds and family offices, from initial prospecting through RFP submissions, finals presentations, contract negotiations and regular performance update meetings. Launched the firm’s first European-regulated UCITS fund. Participated and spoke at numerous conferences.1993 – 2005 Managing Director, FX Concepts (France) S.A.Responsible for marketing investment management products and services in Europe. Created the firm’s first full branch office in Europe (August 1993), in charge of global sales and marketing of a full range of research products and consulting services worldwide. (1987 – 1993) Hired as a foreign exchange and interest rate analyst in 1987 (firm’s 8th employee).
