As a key contributor to KPMG Malta’s internal solutions team, I played an integral role in managing a team of eight developers. My responsibilities extended beyond software development; I actively mentored team members on technical issues and supported their personal growth. Collaborating closely with my superior, I assisted in capturing requirements, defining work, and assigning tasks to the team. Additionally, I contributed to the technical and user interface design of newly requested applications, resulting in a portfolio of approximately 13 successful projects. During this period we also started transitioning some of our applications from on-premise technologies to Azure-based solutions—specifically Azure Functions, Azure Web Apps, and Azure Storage. As a contributor to CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps, I seamlessly integrated these technologies with our Azure hosting environment. Lastly, I actively participated in code reviews, ensuring the quality and robustness of our deliverables.

After two years as a full-stack developer, I earned a promotion to Assistant Manager at KPMG Malta. In this role, I collaborated with my superior to oversee a team of four developers, responsible for building internal solutions. My involvement extended beyond coding; I actively participated in designing solutions used across the organization. Simultaneously, I maintained my coding responsibilities and played a pivotal role in upgrading KPMG Software’s technology stack. As I took the lead on code reviews, I also mentored junior team members, including 10 summer interns. Additionally, I was heavily involved in the transition from TeamCity to Azure DevOps for our CI/CD processes, contributing significantly to its successful implementation.

As a member of a three-person development team at KPMG Malta, I contributed to the creation of applications using .NET, Angular.js, and MS SQL Server. These applications seamlessly integrated with Active Directory for robust authentication and authorization. My responsibilities extended to assisting with CI/CD processes using TeamCity, providing ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, and successfully migrating legacy systems to more modern technology stacks. Notably, our work spanned various industries, including Finance and Real Estate.

As a member of the external client development team, I actively contributed to several key projects. Notably, I played a significant role in developing a robust data mining platform. Additionally, I provided essential support and maintenance for existing applications. One of our standout achievements was the creation of an airline booking engine, which African Airlines successfully utilized. Our tech stack included cutting-edge technologies such as Node.js, C#, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.

I worked as a summer intern, assisting the IT team in programming tasks. This was a very positive experience from which I learnt a lot in terms of technical knowledge as well as being able to choose a career path.

I helped in the day-to-day activities involved in running a successful factory operation such as generating detailed reports as well providing assistance in IT-related tasks.
