As president of my company I’m my own boss, so why make a career change to work elsewhere and have a boss? After college I worked for a national company and did my job very well because I completed my work in about half a day and always needed more work. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit, changing in-person interfaces to virtual meetings, but we all adapted and stayed connected (remote work didn’t stop my boss’s boss and me from shooting the bull about sports). With a year+ under my belt, I could have continued to collect an easy paycheck for work that did not challenge or excite me. This was not the path I wanted, so I decided to move on.Entrepreneurship was my next course because I wanted to build a business from the ground up and gain a breadth of experience managing every aspect. After months of brainstorming business ideas and researching, Johnny Hampton LLC (JH) was officially born. I spent more months: 1. developing a business plan; 2. designing a sunglasses line; 3. creating website content/design; 4. working with: — trademark attorneys; — programmers; — manufacturers; — photographers and models; 5. learning about all requirements of running my business like: — FDA regulations/licenses; — taxes/duties; — sales and use taxes.I’m proud that JH sunglasses have since traveled with JH customers to many parts of the world (Japan, Monaco, Paris). As proud as I am of JH, I want to pivot back to working for a dynamic company and be part of an overall team with a common goal of growing the business and where my success can only be limited by me.Driven by a competitive spirit honed through years of sports, I thrive in high-stakes environments and am laser-focused on driving results. I believe in building genuine relationships, understanding clients' needs, and delivering value-driven solutions. If you want someone to sell, manage, or improve your product/service who will exceed your expectations, I’m your person.
