I am a seasoned technical professional with 35+ years of strong technical work experience and skills. Having begun my technical training while in the United States Marine Corps as a Dial Central Office Repair Technician working on Step-by-Step analogue telephone switching equipment.Over the years I have improved upon my work experiences and skill sets with a few different jobs all of which have involved current technologies of the day such as beginning with the Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.0 and every release since. Evolving my professional career as a desk top computer support technician, basic networking technician as well as being a member of an electronic engineering design team supplying Automatic Test Equipment to the semi-conductor market.During the years I have acquired ever-stronger technical troubleshooting skills and proven abilities to work confidently with higher level (Tier 3 & up) software, electronic, mechanical, network & voice engineers. Resolving complex break/fix issues related to up-to-date telephony industry standards including but not limited to VoIP, SIP and H323 Unified Communications systems integrated into corporate internetworks, SD-WAN networks, PSTN networks, ISP networks, digital and analogue provider networks.Having migrated back to the telephony industry I have acquired a strong working knowledge of SIP, H323 & VoIP implementation, administration and maintenance through the use of various system interfaces, trace & monitoring equipment. Along with a strong ability to accurately analyze SIP ladders, H323 VoIP traces, PRI-T1, Digital and Analogue call traces. And a proven ability to work confidently with Wireshark PCAP software to analyze data & voice network captures.Currently I work daily with several Windows OS applications, SIP based Softphone clients, VPN clients, SMTP based voicemail to email, SMTP relays, auto-attendant's, T3 SIP faxing and more. As well as working with a large client base providing Managed Services to administer, maintain and repair unified communication, digital and analogue systems.In an effort to continually improve and sharpen my skill set I am currently enrolled in, and actively pursuing, the Cisco Certified Network Associate classes. I also believe in being an active participant in my community and to that end I am a member of the Marine Corps League as well as a Salvation Army Kettle volunteer. I am also looking to volunteer with the local police department to be part of their community service-oriented unit.
