I interned for two summers at the Boston office of Applied Geographics, a small GIS (geographic information system) solutions and consulting firm. During my time there, I developed a basic understanding of the softwares ARCMap and the open source platform QGIS. Using these skills, I assisted on projects for clients such as the Vermont Department of Transportation, the Western Governors Association, and the city of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
