Currently I am part of the MD class of 2021 at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. My background in research is extensive, mainly in the fields of Medicinal Chemistry and Biochemistry. I have worked in multiple laboratories including my Medicinal Chemistry work at the University of Ottawa, a Computational Chemistry/Medical Imaging project at the Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute and a Structural Glycobiology project at the Max Planck Institute in Berlin, Germany. Most recently I have completed a MSc in Chemistry at Lakehead University working on designing molecular probes for fluorescent microscopy and PET imaging studies related to Parkinson's Disease.Beyond the practice of my studies and research, I have been heavily involved in extracurricular activities such as being a member of the student run service Foot Patrol, being a volunteer at the Riverside hospital, being a member of the uOttawa synthetic biology team iGEM, and most notably, being part of the executive team that has been attempting to start a 24/7 Student Emergency Response Team on the University of Ottawa campus. Most recently I have been enjoying playing Ultimate Frisbee, volunteering with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program as well as tutoring chemistry on the side.
