Material Management Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) is the process that manages, starting from the demand inputs, the capacity allocation planning, the materials planning synchronization, the service levels improvement, the stock levels optimization, and the inventory management costs reduction. It also helps the entire COMAU organization to make the key decisions needed to meet financial targets, reducing the customer lead time.Materials Management is in charge of planning, directing, controlling and coordinating all the activities related to materials and inventory requirements, and begins with the determination of materials and their quantity, and ends with their delivery to site to meet the customer’s needs. Global Material Management Excellence team, has the goal to deal with common and transversal main topics, such as Material Management global planning, the logistics and supplier follow-up processes, to support the make or buy analysis and footprint definition, support manufacturing and procurement strategies, to set and monitor MM teams’ KPIs, and overall best practices to cross fertilize.
