• Primary responsibility was to fulfil stock management, whilst also operating tills when necessary• Deliver high levels of customer service at all times• The main reason behind me taking up this role was to allow me to focus on my previous number one goal – to become a full-time footballer. I played semi-professional football throughout my time in SuperValu but unfortunately never achieved my ultimate goal of going fully professional, and so have now decided to look for a job in a field that is more closely related to what I studied in college

• Responsible for refereeing men’s 11-a-side matches every weekend• Refereeing matches in which the majority of players were considerably older than me helped hugely in developing my confidence and assertiveness• The speed and decisiveness of my decision-making improved greatly while undertaking this job

• Responsible, along with another coach, for coaching a group of 20 children between the ages of 5 and 13• The task of keeping the children continually interested and engaged really helped in improving my ability to be both organised and adaptable at the same time• Working with a wide variety of children really opened my eyes to the fact that different personalities need to be managed and encouraged in different ways - something which I feel may be of use to me in a broader working environment
