I am currently working towards the completion of my PhD at the University of York, under the supervision of Professor Elva Robinson and Dr Kelly Redeker. As a member of the ACCE DTP (NERC), my project emphasises my passion for both the natural world, and for finding innovative solutions to the sustainability and environmental challenges of our time.My research has involved working with the National Trust to investigate the benefits of ants as key ecosystem engineers within their habitats, the results of which will be used to inform more sustainable landscape practices in the future.This work has been a thoroughly rewarding and enjoyable experience, and I'm delighted to be continuously developing my knowledge and skills as I progress through this chapter of my life.
